Holistic Ingredients

Blueberries
Blueberries are a great source of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. They can help heart health, bone strength, skin health and are good for diabetics. Blueberries provide vitamins A, C, E and K and minerals such as iron and manganese. They are low in fat and calories and high in fiber which makes for a natural healthy snack for dogs and cats.

Sweet Potatoes
Sweet potatoes are highly nutritious and a great source of fiber, vitamins and minerals which promote gut health. The fiber helps the digestive system function more effectively. They are a rich source of iron, calcium, selenium and a good source of B6, C and A vitamins. Vitamin A promotes healthy skin, muscles, coat, eyes, nerves, bone growth and reproduction in dogs. They also help to alleviate constipation and diarrhea. Sweet potatoes also have Beta-carotene which is an antioxidant, it converts to two molecules of vitamin A in your dogs body.

Oats
Oats are a great alternative carbohydrate for cats and dogs that maybe sensitive to wheat or other grains. Oats contain vitamin B which helps maintain a healthy coat and linoleic acid, which is a type of omega-6 fatty acid that helps keep dogs' and cats' skin strong and healthy. Oats contain a lot of fiber vitamins and minerals such as vitamin E, which supplements your pet's liver skin and fur, zinc, iron and selenium. Oats are high in protein with a good balance of amino acids.

My story
My name is Shayna and my journey with making dog food began with my ride or die furever best friend. He was my dude, my all time protector, my heart and I never thought I could love another fury best friend again but I did.
I noticed that my dogs coat was dry and had a lot of dandruff and was over weight. So I started making his dog food with "human" food and and within a few weeks he was loosing weight, with exercise as well, and the dander was also gone. He went less often to poop and could tell that there was a difference in his poop as well. Sadly I had to let him go at an earlier age but is still missed and loved.
Fast forward like 10 yrs later and that's when I got Paisley and a yr later we got Grace. So in-between of letting my best friend go and getting the two I have I attended Culinary School. I graduated with a Associates Degree in Culinary Arts. The original plan was to open a restaurant but after being in the industry I decided against that. One of the number one things I get asked is do I bake? The answer was always no because it's a science, well I could but it might take me a couple tries. I never thought I be baking, let alone baking dog treats and making it into a business. I started making the dog treats at home because I found that reading the ingredients on some treats are not very good for pets and then the ones that have good ingredients in them are expensive. I wanted to know what was in their treats and I'm very capable, with my culinary experience, of making healthy treats so that's where and how that began.
Gracely's Holistic Dog Treats is named after my two lovely dogs Paisley and Grace and I pieced parts of their names together. When I got Paisley I was going through a tough time in my life and he helped me through it a lot. A yr later we rescued Grace and she has brought companionship to Paisley, which he needed, and more for us to love. I live for my two dogs and they have given me more purpose in life than before I had them. They bring me joy, love and happiness.
